Short Bio

Chris Dingli is a Maltese-born, UK-based actor and writer known for his warm presence, layered performances, and quiet complexity.

He works across stage, screen and voice, with a particular affinity for nuanced, understated roles and performances that leave space for ambiguity.

Trained at the Webber Douglas Academy, Chris has performed Shakespeare, directed and acted at the Edinburgh Festival, and written and starred in award-winning theatre and screen projects. His portrayal of Grand Master Jean de La Valette in his self-penned one-man show Battleship earned him the Best Actor Award at the Malta International Theatre Festival.

Alongside his dramatic work, Chris has an extensive background in comedy. He has written and performed sketch, solo and stand-up shows across the UK and Malta, and is also an experienced voiceover artist and radio presenter, voicing campaigns for major European and international brands.

He is currently active in both the UK and European markets, and works in English across a range of accents and tones.

The Faculty of Fun.JPG

Maltese// Chris was interviewed by Colin Fitz on Campus 103 FM in Malta, about Chris' time hosting the station's first flagship Drivetime show in 2002, when the station was rebranded as Campus FM (from University Radio) with the intention of appealing to the university's student population (although the station broadcasts nationally).

Together with his co-host Wesley Ellul, Chris reminisces about the show, "Faculty of Fun" which was a first of its kind on the island - a primetime radio show hosted by two people and the only show of its time (or since) to host bands playing sets in the studio, live on air.

This interview aired in January 2025. You can listen to the entire interview here.
